Uninstall

Uninstalling the software agent will not delete your Dynamic Storage Platform account. If you’d like to uninstall the software agent from your computer, follow the instructions for your device below.

How to uninstall Vawlt’s software agent on Windows

To uninstall the software agent on a Windows computer:

  1. Click Start;
  2. Click Settings;
  3. Click Apps;
  4. Click Apps & features;
  5. Click Vawlt;
  6. Click Uninstall.

Note: You can also remove manually Vawlt’s cache folder, usually located in the following path:

C://ProgramData/Vawlt

How to uninstall Vawlt’s software agent on a Mac

To uninstall the software agent on a Mac computer:

  1. Click on the Vawlt icon in the menu bar;
  2. Select Quit;
  3. Open Finder;
  4. Click Applications;
  5. Drag Vawlt to the Trash.

Note: You can also remove manually Vawlt’s cache folder, usually located in the following path:

/Users/<youruser>/.vawlt/

How to uninstall Vawlt’s software agent on Linux (Debian family)

To uninstall the software agent on a Linux computer with Debian family, copy and paste the following command into your terminal window, hitting “Enter” afterwards.

$ sudo apt remove vawlt

How to uninstall Vawlt’s software agent on Linux (CentOS or RedHat family)

To uninstall the software agent on a Linux computer with Debian family, copy and paste the following command into your terminal window, hitting “Enter” afterwards.

$ yum remove vawlt

How to uninstall Vawlt’s software agent on Linux (binaries version)

If you selected the binaries version for Linux, to uninstall the software agent, execute the “uninstall.sh” script that is included in the ZIP package.

Note: As an alternative, there is a GUI program that allows uninstalling any package on Linux-based systems.

For Linux-based systems, you can also remove manually Vawlt’s cache folder, usually located in the following path:

/home/<youruser>/.vawlt/
